ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The article presents the results of studies on the possibility of reducing the coefficient of friction between the seeds and the walls of the screw conveyor chute and the seeds when transporting cotton seeds by screw conveyors, in the technological process of processing raw cotton, due to oscillatory movements. It is indicated that due to the higher frequency, vibration more strongly destroys microscopic irregularities and helps to reduce the coefficient of friction. It has been determined that when a cotton seed is placed on the surface of a groove of a screw conveyor with an oscillating motion, the work of the friction force is performed to overcome the resistance force of the medium and the work of the force causing vibration and the energy consumed for vibration was taken into account as a change in the potential energy of the system. As a result, it was found that the value and amplitude are directly proportional to the friction coefficient, the mass of cotton seeds, gravitational acceleration and inversely proportional to the equivalent stiffness coefficient. The situation is considered when each particle affected by vibration is pressed to the surface by other particles and is acted upon by gravity and does not change during deformation. The equation of motion for a load suspended on a spring subject to forced vibrations is analyzed. As a result, it is indicated that, provided that the force created by the spring is constant and does not depend on the deformation, the equation of motion describes the resonant behavior of the load. Based on theoretical studies, mathematical expressions were obtained that describe the process of moving cotton seeds in a screw conveyor, and calculations were performed to determine that the optimal vibration frequency of the conveyor
