ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
In this article, the morphological characteristics and elemental composition of dust particles in the air were analyzed in order to study the level of air pollution at cotton ginning enterprises. Such research is of great importance in ecology and industry, as it allows assessing factors affecting human health. Samples were taken from particles released into the air during production processes at cotton ginning enterprises and analyzed using a Zeiss EVO MA 10 scanning electron microscope (SEM). Additionally, energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS) in the Aztec Energy Advanced X-act SDD system was used to determine the chemical composition of the particles. According to the research results, the shape, size, and composition of the particles vary, and iron (Fe), silicon (Si), aluminum (Al), calcium (Ca), and other elements were detected. This is related to the technological processes at the enterprises and the types of raw materials used. This information is important for identifying sources of atmospheric air pollution and developing effective control measures. The practical significance of the study is that it helps to determine environmental monitoring measures in industrial environments and protect human health.
