ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
This study aims to assess the level of air pollution at cotton processing plants by analyzing the morphological characteristics and elemental composition of airborne dust particles. Samples were collected from particles released into the air during cotton processing operations and analyzed using a Zeiss EVO MA 10 scanning electron microscope (SEM). Additionally, the chemical composition of the particles was determined using energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) with the Aztec Energy Advanced X-act SDD system. The results showed that the particles varied in shape, size, and composition, with elements such as iron (Fe), silicon (Si), aluminum (Al), calcium (Ca), and others detected. The obtained data are crucial for identifying the sources of atmospheric air pollution and developing effective control measures.
