ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
This paper presents the results of a study on the colorimetric properties of prints produced using digital printing on special papers containing waste from cocoon production and synthetic nitron fiber. The purpose of the study was to quantitatively evaluate the quality of color reproduction and determine the optimal paper composition to achieve high-quality printed outputs. A four-color scale printed on standard xerox paper was used as the Reference, and comparisons were made using the color coordinates of the colorimetric sistem Lab measured with a Japanese “CM 3600d” spectrodensitometer, followed by the calculation of color contrast ΔE. The experiments showed that the color contrast values between the original and the new paper samples did not exceed standard limits, indicating satisfactory color reproduction. Particularly good results were achieved when 5% cocoon production waste and 5% polyacrylonitrile based nitron fiber were added to the paper pulp. The obtained the color contrast values confirmed the excellent color reproduction quality on papers containing both cotton cellulose and waste from cocoon and synthetic fiber production. It was concluded that the use of secondary fibers in the production of special printing papers is justified. This approach not only reduces production costs but also enables the rational use of resources and recycling of textile industry waste.
