This article explores the development stages of software applications used for conducting statistical analyses in libraries, focusing on their functional capabilities in generating reports. As the scope of activities within information and library institutions continues to grow annually, and the volume of stored data increases, the need to implement modern software solutions tailored for efficient report preparation becomes imperative. The study reviews library-specific statistical analysis software such as Bibliostat Collect & Connect, alongside widely adopted universal tools including Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, and Jamovi. The article provides a detailed analysis of these systems’ capabilities in managing library reports and offers practical recommendations for their effective use. Emphasis is placed on the automation of reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency, as well as on the presentation of data through visual graphics, charts, and interactive dashboards. Additionally, the integration capabilities of these applications with various data sources and file formats are highlighted as a critical advantage.
