The article is dedicated to the study of pilgrimage in the Orthodox Church, its historical development, and contemporary trends. Pilgrimage holds significant importance in the life of Orthodox Christians, serving as an expression of faith, a spiritual practice, and a connection to historical sites associated with the life of Jesus Christ, saints, and important events in Christian history. The article examines the evolution of pilgrimage traditions in Orthodoxy, starting from the early centuries of Christianity, and the impact of historical changes on pilgrimage during different historical periods. Special attention is given to the current state of pilgrimage in the Orthodox tradition, including new forms of pilgrimage journeys and the challenges faced by contemporary believers.
