This article is devoted to the study of the exegetical activities of Khwadja Muhammad Parsa, a prominent representative and theorist of the Naqshbandiya Sufi order. The primary focus of the research is the unique autograph manuscript of his “Tafsir” (Inv. No. 2180), preserved at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. The paper explores the spiritual legacy of Bahauddin Naqshband and the pivotal role played by Parsa in transforming this spiritual “trust” into a systematic academic school. The author analyzes Parsa’s methodology, centered on the concepts of tadabbur (deep contemplation) and istinbat (deduction of hidden meanings), which characterizes the work as an allusive-mystical (ishari) exegesis. Furthermore, the article examines the manuscript’s visual and codicological features, such as the use of distinct ink colors to separate the Quranic text from the commentary, reflecting the author’s rigorous adherence to the rules of source study and calligraphy. Parsa’s legacy, which harmonizes Sharia and Tariqa, is presented as a brilliant example of “intellectual synthesis” in Islamic scholarship. This research serves as a vital resource for uncovering unexplored facets of the Mawarannahr school of exegesis and provides deep insights into the integration of Sufi ethics with Quranic sciences.
