This scientific article analyzes the methodological approach of Imam Maturidi, a prominent representative of the Movarunnahr school of thought, to the interpretation of the Quran. The main attention is paid to the scientific and methodological principles used in his famous work “Ta’wilotu-l-Qur’an”, in particular, the harmony of reason and narration, the balanced use of narration and interpretation of dirayat, theological-logical analysis, and a moderate position on doctrinal issues. As a result of the article, the role and significance of the Maturidi school of interpretation in Islamic exegesis are scientifically highlighted.
