ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The article presents an analysis of innovative approaches to the functional finishing of cotton fabrics used in Central Asian countries. The study aims to systematize modern methods of functional finishing, focusing on hybrid technologies that combine chemical, physical, and nanostructural methods. Bioactive components (gallotannin, chitosan, plant extracts) and nanostructured agents (TiO2, ZnO, AgNPs) were used as modifiers. Studies were conducted using FTIR spectroscopy (TJ270-30A), optical microscopy (JX-BH200M), gravimetry (AS 220.R2PLUS), water repellency tests (BALLY GW-013), antimicrobial assays, and tensile strength testing (HT-L-2000A). The results confirmed the formation of functional groups, coating uniformity, mass increase up to 4.8%, crease recovery angle up to 130°, antimicrobial activity up to 98%, and strength reduction not exceeding 6%. Comparative analysis demonstrates the high efficiency and eco-friendly profile of the proposed technology, as well as its scalability and potential for integration into higher education curricula.
