ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
This paper examines the potential causes of combustion of raw cotton due to friction against working surfaces made of structural and composite polymeric materials. Particular attention is paid to the role of metrological support in studying heating, friction, and flammability processes. Methods for measuring temperature, friction coefficient, and heat generation are presented, and the importance of measurement uniformity for improving the reliability and safety of equipment in the cotton ginning industry is demonstrated.
