This article presents the characteristics of transport in complex technical systems and proposes a methodology for modeling the conditions of a transport system. The reliability level of the region’s transport system was assessed and the magnitude of the failure rate from the main components of complex applications was established. A mathematical model was developed to analyze the operation of the transport system and graphically represent the course of events along with a discrete number of probabilistic states of Markov processes. The article also discusses the probability distribution of events expected during operation. The obtained quantitative values turned out to be the basis for making decisions on the compliance of the actual level of reliability of the transport system with the specified characteristics.
