In the southern and northern regions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, water resources saving and optimal irrigation regimes have been developed in the care of medium-fiber cotton varieties S-4727, Sultan and Omad. It was found that the irrigation of “Sultan” cotton variety provided high and high-quality yields at 80-80-60% of the field moisture capacity of the soil with limited soil moisture and 650-800 m3 / ha of irrigation and periodic irrigation, and 3500 m3 / ha of total irrigation.
