Publishing an article in this journal is free of charge.
Purpose of the journal:
To highlight, at both national and international levels, the problems and achievements of hydrometeorological science, its practical applications, as well as issues related to environmental pollution monitoring.
Objectives:
To regularly publish scientific articles within the sections “Meteorology”, “Hydrology”, “Environmental Monitoring”, “Reviews”, and “Memorial”, including analytical materials relevant to the field and information about the lives and contributions of distinguished scientists who have significantly contributed to the development of this scientific domain.
Meteorology Section:
Publishes scientific articles devoted to current issues in meteorology, climatology, agrometeorology, and applied meteorology, including synoptic and numerical weather forecasting methods, global climate change, its impacts and adaptation, crop yield forecasting methods, hazardous hydrometeorological phenomena, biometeorology, aviation and space meteorology, GIS technologies in meteorology, and active influence on atmospheric processes.
Hydrology Section:
Includes research results in land hydrology, water resources, and hydrochemistry, including river flow formation conditions, water erosion and sediment transport, channel flow dynamics and processes, mudflows and their forecasting, glaciology and snow cover monitoring, hydrological and hydrochemical regimes of water bodies, groundwater hydrology, hydrological calculations and forecasts, statistical methods and mathematical modeling, hazardous hydrometeorological processes, GIS technologies in hydrology, irrigated land hydrology, and collector-drainage flow formation and mineralization.
Environmental Monitoring Section:
Covers monitoring of the atmosphere, surface water, and soil conditions, including chemical and radioactive pollution, hydrobiological monitoring, assessment of pollution impacts on natural and socio-economic systems, methods for assessing and forecasting global changes in the biosphere, improving environmental monitoring efficiency, and modeling biogeochemical cycles in ecosystems.
Reviews Section:
Addresses issues of hydrometeorological services for sectors of the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the practical application of modern scientific achievements. It also includes reviews of hazardous hydrometeorological phenomena, extreme environmental pollution events, new observation and measurement methods, modern data processing technologies, and information about recent scientific publications, atlases, reference materials, and international conferences.
Memorial Section:
Publishes biographical information about prominent scientists who have made significant contributions to the development of hydrometeorological services and science in Uzbekistan.
The journal “Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring” is intended for hydrometeorological scientists, practitioners, higher education institutions, research organizations, and ministries and agencies involved in environmental protection and the use of hydrometeorological data.
