The article considers the influence of rock strength, type of explosive,
diameter and length of the charge in the well subdrill on the quality of rock crushing. It
was found that about 50% or more of the length of the subdrilled well is used irrationally,
and only 50% is used for its intended purpose to destroy the explosive charge in order
to destroy the massif by explosion. To determine the effect of the distance between
charges on the amount of resistance to be overcome along the open-pit bottom,
industrial experiments were carried out at the NMMC and AMMC quarries
