The State museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan in one of the largest military and historical museums in the Central Asian region. The Museum began its activities in the building of the Central house of officers, Tashkent, March 4, 1965 as the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Turkestan military district. Historical exhibits of the museum show the sequence of development of military art and techniques in the territory of our country. The exhibition reflects the evolution of weapons, from bows and arrows of the Iron Age to modern submachine guns and homing missiles. The museum has about 30 000 exhibits and archival materials. The activity of the museum makes a special and significant contribution to the militarypatriotic and spiritual and moral education of young people, forms a genuine sense of pride among servicemen for belonging to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan
