Ushbu maqolada lavr o‘simligi (Laurus nobilis L.) ning kimyoviy tarkibi va biologik faolligi bo‘yicha olib borilgan kompleks tadqiqot natijalari yoritilgan. Unda o‘simlikning morfologik tuzilishi, fitokimyoviy xossalari hamda farmakologik va terapevtik xususiyatlariga oid zamonaviy ilmiy ma’lumotlar tahlil qilinib, umumlashtirilgan. Tadqiqot natijalariga ko‘ra, lavrning efir moylari, flavonoidlari va fenol birikmalari keng ko‘lamli biologik faollikka ega bo‘lib, ular antioksidant, yallig‘lanishga qarshi, mikroblarga qarshi, antidiabetik va gepatoprotektiv ta’sir ko‘rsatadi. Olingan ilmiy ma’lumotlar lavr o‘simligini farmatsevtika, kosmetika va oziq-ovqat sanoatida biologik faol moddalarning istiqbolli manbai sifatida qo‘llash imkoniyatlarini tasdiqlaydi.
