This article examines the forms of rent in the rural community of the Kashkadarya oasis at the beginning of the 20th century based on historical ethnographic data, and provides detailed information on the social structure of the rural population in the oasis: large landowners, sharecroppers, sharecroppers, half-workers, carols, maids, reapers, laborers, chenaks, chamans, shepherds (shepherds), and others.
