This article analyzes the tazkira-writing craftsmanship of Mir Muhammad Siddiq Hashmat, a prominent figure of the Bukhara’s literary environment in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who compiled biographical anthologies based on objective scholarly and poetic criteria. The study highlights Hashmat's role in continuing and evolving traditional tazkira-writing conventions, his distinctive style, and his literary-critical evaluations of contemporary authors and their works. Furthermore, it demonstrates that Hashmat’s tazkiras serve as a primary source for reconstructing the authentic landscape of Bukhara's literary life, the period's ideological and aesthetic principles, the development of poetic genres, and the biographies of poets. The author reveals Hashmat's expertise in textology and literary criticism, demonstrating his conceptual significance in studying the history of Bukhara literature.
