This article extensively analyzes the concept of economic thinking, its essence, role in the development of society, and the need to form this thinking today. In particular, the influence of economic thinking on the formation of economic culture, as well as its development, is directly related to economic education, is substantiated. The article particularly highlights the role of economic thinking in conducting business activities in a market economy, correctly understanding the essence of ongoing economic reforms, and forming an adaptable approach to global economic changes. Also considered are the educational, social, and psychological conditions that serve the formation of economic thinking, modern pedagogical technologies, and proposals and recommendations for improving economic literacy.
