This article analyzes the problems arising in the introduction of immersive technologies, including virtual and augmented reality tools, into the biology education process in pedagogical higher education institutions, as well as ways to address them. Within the framework of the study, the theoretical and methodological foundations of organizing an immersive educational environment, the state of existing infrastructure and technical support, the digital competencies of teaching staff, and the level of methodological training were studied. Additionally, the features of biology, the necessity of visualizing biological objects and processes, and the importance of interactive educational approaches in increasing learning efficiency are substantiated. According to the research results, insufficient development of the material and technical base for the introduction of immersive technologies in biology education, insufficient professional competencies of teachers in the use of these technologies, limited methodological support, and the imperfection of mechanisms for the systematic integration of innovative approaches into the educational process were identified as the main problems. To eliminate these problems, scientific and practical recommendations have been developed for the retraining and professional development of teaching staff, equipping educational institutions with modern technological tools, improving curricula, and effectively integrating immersive educational technologies into the educational process.
