TRANSMEDIA STORYTELLING: CINEMA, SERIES AND LITERATURE LINK BETWEEN

The article examines the phenomenon of transmedia storytelling and its connection between cinema, television series, and literature. The study was based on an analysis of 45 transmedia projects (franchises) created between 2020 and 2024. Comparative-analytical, semiotic, and reception analysis methods were used. The results showed that transmedia storytelling distributes a story across multiple media platforms, with each platform adding its own unique component. While literature provides the foundation and conceptual framework, film provides visual expression and delivery to a wider audience, and television series provide in-depth character development and long-term story arcs. Jenkins H. According to the theory, transmedia storytelling increases audience engagement and interactivity. The study includes an analysis of 12 successful transmedia franchises: Marvel Cinematic Universe, Game of Thrones, The Witcher, Harry Potter, and others. The concept of a franchise ecosystem was introduced, in which different media forms interact in a symbiotic relationship. Transmedia storytelling transforms audiences from passive consumers to active participants and shapes fandom culture. The study provides a new theoretical framework for contemporary narratology and media studies.
