ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The article analyzes the conditions of the formation of atmospheric drought in the Jizzakh region during the warm period (March-October) of 1991-2024. The study utilized data from the Bakhmal, Dustlik, and Lalmikor meteorological stations, which are located in various physical and geographical conditions. Atmospheric drought was assessed based on the thermohygrometric coefficient of air dryness (THC), the ranges of thermodynamic parameters and seasonal characteristics of drought events of various intensities were investigated. Temporal trends in drought duration were evaluated using the Mann-Kendall test and the Theil-Sen slope estimator. The results indicated an increasing trend in the occurrence of atmospheric drought events in the Jizzakh region.
