This article analyzes the development of a BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) model of an information system for controlling the activities of teaching staff in a higher educational institution. During the research, existing control practices and requirements were analyzed, and the main flows of the control process— flights: receiving applications, evaluating, monitoring and preparing reports—were identified. Using the BPMN model, processes were visually depicted, roles and tasks (teacher, head of department, control department, rectorate) were defined, and message exchange and document flow were shown
