The article discusses the transition to European standards – the Eurocode system – in the design of bridge structures in the Republic of Belarus. The main principles of the Eurocodes are analyzed, including the limit state method, load models (LM1) and the application of national annexes. Recommendations are given for harmonizing national standards with international requirements, improving calculation methods and further transition.
