ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
The durability and serviceability of asphalt concrete pavements are highly influenced by temperature variations in Uzbekistan. This study aims to forecast the temperature-based performance of asphalt concrete by modeling its rheological behavior using the finite element software Abaqus. The focus is placed on the viscoelastic and creep responses of asphalt mixtures under different temperature scenarios typically observed in Uzbekistan, ranging from sub-zero winters to high temperature summer conditions. A two-dimensional model was developed to simulate asphalt layers subjected to temperature-dependent material properties. Creep behavior was analyzed to assess permanent deformation potential at elevated temperatures. The results highlight the sensitivity of asphalt concrete to thermal effects, with increased deformation and stress concentrations observed at higher temperatures. This modeling approach provides valuable insights for predicting performance and optimizing pavement design in varying climatic zones of Uzbekistan.
