ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
In recent years, the condition and quality of urban infrastructure has become an important factor in everyday life, safety and economic activity of the population. Continuity of traffic flow, safety and comfort of movement remain pressing issues, especially on urban roads. Currently, the transport and operational condition of urban road surfaces is assessed using traditional assessment methods (special laboratory equipment, road measuring vehicles). Of course, these methods are highly accurate in assessing urban roads, but their high economic cost creates problems in periodic assessment of street and road networks of large cities. In the era of technological progress, modern applications and smartphones allow you to quickly and effectively assess the condition of urban roads. The article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of assessing the transport and operational indicators of urban road surfaces using smartphones.
