ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
Dynamic modulus (|E*|) is considered one of the main properties of hot asphalt concrete mixture (HMA). The new Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) incorporates properties at all three hierarchical levels. Existing |E*| prediction models are primarily developed based on regression analysis of the |E*| database obtained from laboratory tests conducted over many years, and generally lack the accuracy necessary for implementing reliable predictions. This article focuses on developing a simplified HMA |E*| prediction model using the methodology of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN).
