The Termizi scholars were active in all major fields of Islamic sciences and created many works. In recent times, their discovery and study have acquired a large scale. In particular, although the titles of many of Abu Bakr Warraq Termizi’s works have reached us, their discovery and study are of particular importance. To date, only «Al-Alim wal-muta’allim» (The Teacher and the Student) has been discovered and studied, but this already shows that the scholar was a multifaceted thinker. Since the work covers many areas of Islamic sciences, including secular knowledge such as medicine, biology and others. This indicates that the meaning of the title of hakim, which existed for the scholar and his teacher Hakim Termizi, is in the harmony of religious and secular knowledge. And also, it was revealed that the scholar’s comments on the Quranic verses (ayat) found in the sources of interpretation (tafsir) are also on such a scale that they can be collected and studied separately. It is determined that Abu Bakr Warraq Tirmizi was one of those who occupied an important place in the history of Islamic thought, and it is proven that the scientist was a follower of the school of Tirmiz scholars, a follower of Hakim Tirmizi in methodology, and also a major figure who had a direct influence on the Islamic environment of Maverannahr both in the direction of Sufism and in the direction of the science of Islamic faith (aqidah) through Abul Qasim Hakim Samarkandi. The concepts of «wisdom» (hikma) and «wise» (hakim) in Maverannahr, as well as the principles of continuity in this direction, are analyzed. Evidence is provided of the spread and recognition of the scholar’s works throughout the Islamic world.
