At first glance, construction and architectural activity may seem to be limited to the building of monumental structures; however, at its core lies a strategic endeavor aimed at the development of political, social, economic, and cultural systems within a specific territory. In particular, the Timurid dynasty, which held both regional and global power in its time, sought to strengthen its political authority, stabilize social order, and ensure ideological dominance through its construction activities. This article analyzes the ideological foundations of Amir Temur’s construction policy based on Arabic sources, especially through the lens of Ibn Khaldun’s views on constructive activity presented in his Muqaddimah.
