This article provides an in-depth analysis of the land ownership system established in Turan (Central Asia) during the 8th–9th centuries following the conquest by the Arab Caliphate. Particular attention is given to the legal status, economic function, and social significance of kharaji lands, sawafi lands, and iqta lands. The author utilizes not only modern research but also historical sources such as kharaj books, Islamic legal texts, and chronicles. The study also explores the tax policies of the Arab Caliphate and their impact on the socio-economic life of the local population. The findings offer valuable insights into the unique features of land ownership in Turan and serve as an important resource for understanding medieval agrarian relations.
