Medieval Muslim historian-theologians provided detailed information not only about the teachings, rituals, acts of worship, and sacred sources of various religions in their works, but also about the founders of these religions. This article presents a comparative analysis of the information about the life and activities of Zoroaster, the “prophet” of Zoroastrianism, as conveyed in the work “Muruj al-Dhahab” by the medieval historian Ali ibn Husayn al-Masudi, alongside the views found in the works of scholars such as Biruni and Shahrastani.
