This paper addresses the application of modern intelligent security systems for detecting cyberattacks originating from computer and telecommunication networks and mitigating their negative impacts. An intelligent detection system is developed by integrating traditional IDS/IPS mechanisms with artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to enable real-time network traffic analysis. The study examines the main types of network attacks and their characteristics, as well as methods for anomaly detection, threat classification, and prediction that make it possible to identify complex behavioral patterns typical of contemporary cyber threats. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach achieves higher accuracy and faster response compared to existing security solutions. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the developed intelligent system for real-time detection and mitigation of network threats in various organizations and enterprises is substantiated.
