One of the most important skills teachers need to acquire today is critical thinking. Because, at the same time, humanity lives buried in the world of information, and the amount of all information that can be used by a person is increasing dramatically. In addition, more than half of this information is not reliable. Therefore, in order to prepare the future teacher as a highly qualified staff, they should be taught to critically analyze the information they use, to distinguish the main ones from the information, to form their own attitude towards the acquired knowledge, to separate the reliable and necessary information from the unnecessary one. Formation of acquisition skills is one of the urgent issues of today. Therefore, in this article, thoughts and opinions are expressed about what critical thinking is, how to form critical thinking skills of future students through independent education, and at the same time, independent education should be integrated with practical processes. In addition, information is provided about various models, sets of situations that form critical thinking in students, and pedagogical conditions that help to develop it
