When it comes to major figures in the history of Uzbek statehood, it is mostly emphasized on supreme rulers, princes, ministers, military commanders - well-known and famous figures. However, there are many figures who have done services that few can do, who deserve recognition and respect, but their activities have not been «disclosed» by historians. One of them is Nadir Mirza Dewanbegi, who was one of the bright personalities of Ashtarkhanid period. The information available in sources about his parents, family, children and education is given in detail for the first time in the article. The political activity of Nadir Mirza Dewanbegi is divided into two parts. The role of Imam Quli Khan in the domestic and foreign policy, especially his services in maintaining security of northern and southern borders of Turan is analyzed in the first part. The second part is related to his activities as the governor of Samarkand region. Information was also given about a number of madrasahs, mosques and other buildings built in Bukhara and Samarkand on the initiative and means of Nadir Mirza Dewanbegi.
