This article analyzes information-library institutions from the perspective of sociological institutionalism, examining their regulative, normative, and cultural-cognitive components. Furthermore, it demonstrates their societal role in knowledge dissemination, cultural development, and ensuring social stability. Based on an analysis of the influence of legal, ethical, and social mechanisms, scientific proposals are advanced for improving the institutional approach, implementing technologies, and expanding research.
