RATIO OF CURL PATTERNS ON THE SKIN SURFACE OF OFFSPRING OBTAINED FROM MATING BY COLOR SHADES

The article presens the results of a study on the correlation of different curl pattern types located on the surface of pelts in the offspring obtained from mating Karakul sheep of the sur color type with various color shades. The studies revealed that the yield of valuable semi-circular rollers in the mating combination ♂ silver-colored × ♀ diamond-colored amounted to 44.6±6.16%, whereas the highest indicator was observed in the combination ♂ diamond-colored × ♀ diamond-colored, reaching 47.2±5.88%. In the offspring obtained from diamond-colored rams mated with silver-colored ewes, this indicator was 45.3±5.36%. The frequency of occurrence of flat rollers in different generations varied depending on the parental mating combinations. The highest indicator was observed in the combination ♂ silver-colored × ♀ silver-colored, amounting to 10.9±2.84%, while the lowest indicator was recorded in the combination ♂ silver-colored × ♀ golden-colored (8.9%). In general, the yield of flat rollers in the offspring ranged from 8.9 to 11.6%. The yield of ribbed roller-type curls ranged from 11.1 to 15.2%. The highest values were observed in the mating combinations ♂ diamond-colored × ♀ silver-colored, ♀ diamond-colored, and ♀ golden-colored.
