This article analyzes the establishment, initial activities, artistic direction, repertoire formation, and stages of transformation into a professional theater of the Namangan Regional Musical Drama and Comedy Theater named after Alisher Navoi, one of the important cultural and spiritual centers of the Fergana Valley. This article, written on the basis of archival documents, memoirs of theater figures, and press materials, aims to show the place of the Namangan Theater in the development of Uzbek theater art in the 1930s.
