This article analyzes the aesthetic, psychophysiological, and visual characteristics of horizontal and vertical screen formats. It argues that screen format is an important factor shaping viewer attention, emotional engagement, and visual perception in the modern media environment. It also examines screen size, frame composition, audience reach, and the impact of prolonged smartphone use on human health. The suitability of the vertical format for individual viewing is analyzed, as well as the aesthetic and emotional impact of the horizontal format on a large screen.
