This article analyzes the problems of adapting folk dances to stage performance. Using the example of Karakalpak folk dances, the relationship between folklore traditions and stage interpretation is examined. Special attention is given to preserving the authenticity of dance movements while adapting them to stage requirements. The study emphasizes the need for a scientific approach to staging folk dances.
