The article analyzes criteria for selecting library automation systems. It presents results of the 2024 global survey and comparative characteristics of open source systems (Koha, Evergreen, FOLIO) and commercial platforms. A phased implementation of open source solutions is proposed for libraries in Uzbekistan.
