Uzbek Model of Ensuring Freedom of Conscience in a Secular State

The article discusses the unique Uzbek model of ensuring freedom of conscience in the context of a secular state. The constitutional and legislative foundations guaranteeing the right to freedom of religion, as well as practical mechanisms promoting interfaith dialogue and tolerance, are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the historical and cultural context that shapes the specifics of the Uzbek approach to ensuring freedom of conscience. The article also highlights the role of the state in regulating the religious sphere, balancing between the principles of secularism and respect for religious traditions.
