This article explores the development of the art of pantomime from its origins in Ancient Greece to its contemporary use in puppet theatre. The author highlights the universality of pantomime as a non-verbal form of expression that transcends language barriers and appeals to the audience's imagination. Special attention is given to the "Mousetrap" scene from Hamlet performed at the National Puppet Theatre of Uzbekistan, where pantomime becomes a powerful tool for revealing truth and inner emotional states. The article also analyzes pantomime's role in modern theatre as a philosophical and visual mode of communication that merges various genres and artistic media.
