Analyzing the creative experiences of artistic reflection of reality based on new approaches to the stories of Abduqayum Yoldoshev and Lukmon Burikhon in the Uzbek prose of the independence period, the artistic interpretation of the “Stream of Consciousness” manifestations in Uzbek literature and figurative symbols in the works of both writers and to show the importance of the expansion of the possibilities of the genre and to reveal the events of the period as much as possible, to evaluate them with the criteria of fiction, to reveal the uniqueness of expression and image is one of the important issues of modern Uzbek literary studies. In these analytical comments, attention is focused on these aspects. In the example of the stories “The Sun Has Not Set”, “Goodbye, America”, “Osman Oghushi” by two mature writers of our prose, the relationship between the period and the hero in the artistic text, social life and figurative thought connections, concepts of space and time, and the author's skill in reflecting modern themes in the prose special attention is paid. An attempt was made to argue about such features as traditionality, image style, and artistic expression in the authors’ works.
