Guidelines for Submitting Manuscripts to the Journal "Physics of Semiconductors and Microelectronics"

1. The journal publishes articles in the following areas:

1. Physics of semiconductors;
2. Semiconductor microelectronics;
3. Semiconductor materials science;
4. Radiation physics of semiconductors;
5. Heliophysics and alternative energy sources.

The rules for preparing manuscripts are designed for computer typesetting.

2. The article must present the following information in order:

1. UDC;
2. Title of the article;
3. Authors' full names, positions, academic titles, and degrees; name of the organization where the work was carried out; as well as the address, email, and contact phone number of the corresponding author;
4. Abstracts in Russian and English with identical content, 7–10 lines long, but not less than three sentences;
5. Keywords (phrases) reflecting the specifics of the article — no more than 10 words in both Russian and English;
6. Main text of the article;
7. References.

3. Articles containing the results of work carried out in an institution must be accompanied by an official submission letter from that institution. If the authors belong to different institutions, the affiliation of each author must be indicated.

4. The journal accepts articles with a length of no less than 3 and no more than 5 pages, including a maximum of 4 figures.

5. A scanned copy of the article signed by all authors must be sent to the editorial office by email, accompanied by an expert opinion report (mandatory for authors from Uzbekistan).

6. When submitting the article to the editor, all figures must be sent as separate files in .jpg or .bmp format.

7. Electronic versions of articles prepared in MS Word for Windows (version 2007 or higher) with a .docx extension should be submitted via email to ispm_uz@mail.ru (with a copy to director@ispm.uz). The text should be typed in Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.

1. Margins: Left 3 cm, Top and Bottom 2.5 cm, Right 2 cm; text must be justified, and formulas built using the embedded formula editor (In Word: "Insert" -> "Equation"). Petit (reduced font) must not be used anywhere in the manuscript.
2. To organize the information sent by email, the file with the text of the article and the graphic files should be placed in a single folder and archived into a ZIP or RAR file. The archive file must be named after the surname of the first author.

8. It is recommended to adhere to the following structure for the article text:

1. Introduction,
2. Research Area,
3. Experimental Methodology,
4. Experimental Results,
5. Discussion of Results,
6. Conclusion.

9. Abbreviations (acronyms) should not be used in the title of the article or in the abstract. Articles in English must not start their title with an article (a, an, the). All abbreviations in the text must be spelled out at their first mention, even if the abbreviation is common (e.g., current-voltage characteristic — I-V characteristic).

10. The reference list (bibliography) of manuscripts submitted to the journal must strictly adhere to the formatting standards and guidelines of the international journal Nature.

Examples formatted in Nature style:

1. Book: Author, A. B. Book Title (Publisher, Year).
2. Example: Sze, S. M. & Ng, K. K. Physics of Semiconductor Devices (John Wiley & Sons, 2006).
3. Journal Article: Author, A. B. & Author, C. D. Title of the article. Abbreviated Journal Name volume number, page–page (year).
4. Example: Smith, J. A. & Johnson, B. C. Advances in semiconductor physics. Nat. Mater. 15, 123–130 (2020).
5. Conference Proceedings: Author, A. B. Title of paper. In Title of Conference Proceedings page–page (Publisher/Location, Year).
6. Example: Ivanov, I. I. Quantum efficiency in solar cells. In Proc. 5th Int. Conf. on Semiconductor Physics 45–50 (Tashkent, 2022).
7. Online Source: Title of Webpage. Website Name URL (Year/Date of access).
8. Example: Solar Cell Efficiency Tables. National Renewable Energy Laboratory https://www.nrel.gov/pv/cell-efficiency.html (2023).

11. The editorial board reserves the right to make necessary editorial corrections to the manuscript (abstract, keywords, list of references, as well as English translations) without prior agreement with the authors.

12. Articles submitted for publication are accepted strictly in accordance with the scope of the journal.

Note: By submitting an article for publication in the journal "Physics of Semiconductors and Microelectronics", the author delegates the publishing rights to the editorial team and guarantees the originality of the content. If the submitted materials infringe upon third-party copyrights, full liability lies with the author. The author bears personal responsibility for the content and formatting of the materials provided.

The editorial office does not pay monetary compensation (royalties) to authors for published materials.
