The article discusses critical issues related to air quality protection and the greening of territories in the context of mitigating climate change in Uzbekistan. The paper highlights the increasing impact of climate change on key sectors, including public health, biodiversity, and economic development. It addresses both natural and anthropogenic contributors to air pollution, including emissions from vehicles and industrial enterprises. The article reviews national initiatives such as the transition to a green economy, renewable energy development, and tree planting programs aimed at climate adaptation and mitigation. The importance of international cooperation, policy reforms, and economic mechanisms to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is emphasized. Furthermore, the article outlines challenges in air quality monitoring, the inefficiency of dust and gas purification systems, and the need for localized production of environmental technologies. The study also covers Uzbekistan's strategic goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, alongside efforts to expand green spaces and address illegal deforestation.
