ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
This article evaluates the degradation processes occurring in the pastures of the Kyzylkum massif in the Farish district of the Jizzakh region by analyzing changes in vegetation cover using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). The dynamics of pasture condition changes were studied using NDVI maps created from satellite data for 2012, 2018, and 2024. The analysis results showed that the density and overall condition of the vegetation cover improved during the study period. Specifically, the value NDVI increased from 0,67 in 2012 to 0,73 in 2024. Additionally, over the years of research, the area of territories with medium and high vegetation density expanded.
