ARTICLE ANNOTATION

quote
This study investigates a climatic characteristic of critical importance for aviation meteorological support in the Tashkent-Yuzhny airfield area – continuous low-level cloud cover with a cloud-base height not exceeding 2,000 feet (600 m), which poses significant constraints on aircraft takeoff and landing operations. Using hourly meteorological observations collected over a 10-year period (2014–2023), the frequency distribution of cloud-base heights below 2,000 feet was quantitatively assessed for the study area. In addition, the cloud genera contributing to the formation of continuous low cloud cover were identified, and their recurrence rates were analyzed
