This article analyzes modern trends in the use of software in road engineering. The role of programs such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, PTV Vissim, and GIS systems in road design, construction, and operation processes is studied, and their advantages and existing problems are discussed. Also, methods necessary for more effective implementation of these technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence and automation systems, are considered. According to the research results, it has been determined that the widespread introduction of digital technologies in road engineering is important for optimizing engineering processes and improving the quality of road infrastructure. In the future, for further development of these technologies, it is recommended to train specialists, reduce software costs, and use cloud technologies more widely.
