Description of Hakim Termizi’s work “Al-Amsal minal-Kitab was-Sunna”

This article provides information about manuscripts, photocopies and modern editions of Hakim Termizi’s work “Al-Amsal minal-Kitab was-Sunna”. In particular, the manuscript copies kept in the National Library of Paris, the “Ashir Efendi” library in Istanbul, and the “Jamiyyatul Asiyaviyya” library in Calcutta, India, were studied, and their century, calligrapher, types of script, and differences are highlighted. Information is also given about the compiled comparative text prepared for publication by Egyptian researcher Dr. Ali Muhammad Bijowi based on two photocopies from the “Darul Kutubil Misriyya” source treasury in Cairo. The reason for writing, colophon, concluding part, structural composition, main idea, content of the work are described, and its moral significance today is explained.
