This article analyzes the causes of the decline in children's reading culture in the context of the modern digital environment and explores practical ways to overcome it. The study examines the impact of gadgets and the media space on children's attention, reading habits, family communication, and reading motivation at school. As a solution, the article proposes viewing the book not as a competitor to media, but as a cultural experience that should be consciously managed. It substantiates such approaches as cooperation among the family, school, library, and local community; respect for the child's right to choose; the selection of books aligned with the child's interests; read-aloud practices; transforming reading into a form of social activity; and the balanced and purposeful use of digital tools. The article is based on dissertations, scholarly articles, and books, and is enriched with practical recommendations.
